deleting a file

my linux disk is full. when i deleted a few files so i could start x again i delete 3 600mb files in KDE. but i think KDE has a trashbin or something becourse the disk is still full.
if there is a trashbin how could i emty it from a terminal?(the delete command i use is unlink)
if there isn't a trashbin how is it posible the disk is stil full.

That line will remove the trash bin as well. Effective, if excessive
You forgot /* at the end ;)

So, the complete line should be:

rm -rf ~/Desktop/Trash/*
