deleted the partition with debian from multi booting system leaving win xp and ubantu
 

i had loaded debian on my system with windows xp by creating separate partition. although it didn't worked as per my expectation being a newcomer to linux i was scared to remove the linux distro. thereafter i tried the ubantu distro and found it quite user friendly so i installed it by using the cd. the latest distro loaded on my system on a separate partition and my system became a multi boot system with windows xp and two linux distros debian and ubantu. then i decided to remove the debian os from my system so that i can work with 2 os instead of 3. so i deleted the partitions on which the debian os was loaded. after deletion i got free space with green marking but forgot to merge it with any of the existing partition. after restart the following message appears on my screen.
error: there is no such partition
entering into recovery mode....
grub loader>

i need help as to what to do next. i have a desktop with dual core intel processor @2.00 ghz and 2.00 ghz and 1 GB RAM. and i don't have the administrator password.

Does that mean you can boot neither xp nor Ubuntu? Do you get this error when you select Ubuntu? If so, you probably had the Debian bootloader on the mbr of the hard drive. I would suggest you go to the site below and read the instructions for the bootinfoscript in the Description box, then download and run the script from your Ubuntu Live CD and post the output, a results.txt file here for help.
