delete and backup file log on subvesion server (apache)


how to delete and backup file log on svn server ?
I want to backup file log on svn server before delete it or delete all reversion from before to now.

who can help me ??

can you just copy or rename the file?

Code:
mv file fileBackup
or

Code:
cp file fileBackup
rm file
