Ok fine now we came to know your problem,just let us know which commands you executed to solve the problem and what error you get?

So I posted in the Networking Forum where I was starting to get answers about my issue and some admin booted me out back into the newbie forum where my questions remain unanswered. Is this how all newbies are treated ? I wont be a newbie for long quite honestly. :-)

So far the only thing that I was given that worked was the iptables flush.

I did that, saved and restarted iptables. There are no rules listed and policy is accept on INPUT, FORWARD & OUTPUT.

I really belive my routing tables is not setup correctly.

netstat -i shows that eth0 is indicating RX Drop on all packets and showing TX ERR on all packets.

netstat -r shows the following:

Destination Gateway Genmask Flags
192.168.1.0 * 255.255.255.0 U
default 192.168.1.1 0.0.0.0 UG

Using ifconfig I set eth0 up with a 192.168.1.115 static IP
