Default boot device missing

Hi all, could really do with your help on this one. So I was making the switch from windows to a Linux distribution, I was installing from a dvd and selected to reformat all partitions so the install was the only partitions. Half was through the install it appeared to have crashed so I (Now I know stupidly having found out the hard way) Reebooted and no longer have a recognised drive to boot from - I can get into the bpot manager and bios but after a quick play there can't seem to solve the problem. This is currently my only machine... Please help :) Thanks guys

Re-run the installer and let it complete the process.

Which distribution were you trying to install?

Make sure "Secure Boot" is disabled in your firmware (BIOS) options.
