Deconf window in Ubuntu Software Center

Ever since I installed Ubuntu 11.04 and install or uninstall programs from Ubuntu Software Center, A window pops up & disappears, with the black border on top. In that border it says "Debconf on robert-YORKTOWN". YORKTOWN being my Gateway computer. Inside the window is blank.

Why does this window appear and what can I do about it?

Did you try to reply to your post only a minute after you made it to get more attention? If so, it's only annoying and takes you off the zero-reply threads list.

Your post is even more annoying!

If you looked at the poster's "name", it states "newbie". Like most "newbies", he/she probably did not see his/her post displayed right away and thought it didn't make it and "reposted" (or thought that was what he/she did). Whether it was a repost (or a "mistaken reply"), is irrelevant. Unfortunately, I cannot answer the question and would if I could, but I do not post a "berating answer" to someone's question just because the way it is presented. Too often, this type of attitude turns off the Linux newbies and sends them back to Windows.
