hi GUYS,,
Am new to the Forum!!

am facing the problem is , i have an user oracle
when ever try to ssh am getting as below
oracle@10.10.201.200's password:
Access denied

and ssh -v shows as below

Is it RHEL5 and is it for the first time you are trying to ssh the system?

Try to ssh system localy if there is access problem or not if so then check the configuration then check from network or remote machine.

This is wat am getting when try o ssh frm the server,

[root@d103pldbms01 .ssh]# ssh oracle@localhost

Unauthorized or improper use of this system may result in disciplinary and legal action.
oracle@localhost's password:
Permission denied, please try again.

oracle@localhost's password:



Its RHEL 5 and userwas able to login before and as far as i know there is no changes made on the system
please advise which configuration files need to check o edit

This can be happen due to wrong user name or wrong password or any permission issue in configuration.
please check your configuarion.

stilll am facing the same issue? can anybody tel which configuration i have to check?

to installl a monitoring server

hi Guys,

I have a to setup a monitoring tools for arround 30 machines in a network . I need a freesoftware that can monitor the system
If anybody having experiece on this please help me on this .


i need below criterias to be monitored automatically,


1. Monitor CPU / Memory / Disk Space
2. Monitor web server (http & https)
3. Monitor web services
4. Network utilization
5. Reporting / logging / alert

Yes, I do.But this seems to be SOLVED thread,You plase start a new thread.And refer google for nagios setup ,try and when you get stuck let us know we will help you.

please help me,

i have some questions,


1) Nagios is a totally free software?

2) with nagios will we able to monitor both Linux and windows servers at a time or only we can monitor linux machines only?

2) whether we can install nagios on windows and possible to monitor both windows and linux?

or its must to install in linux based systems?

please help me to clarify these queries,
