Thumbs up debian:switch to tty1, no text, no prompt, only black

Hey, Guys. This is my first question in this forum. I am a newbie of Linux. I am using debian for one month.
Yesterday Evening, I install a software called zgv which used to view image. After run it in tty1, the resolution changed. and i remove the zgv.
Today, when i start debian. before log in gnome. i can swtich to tty1 well by ctrl + atl + f1. But after i log in gnome. when i use ctrl+atl+f1, the screen is black without nothing(text, prompt).
At first, i think maybe the tty is broken. But When I tried these action:
Code:
 su
 #type root password
 halt
then the system shutdown.
so the tty is working well, but i can't seen.
please help me make my tty display well.

Hello!

can you please post how you are initializing the tyy's?
you find it on /etc/inittab

it should be something like this:

1:2345:respawn:/sbin/getty 38400 tty1
2:23:respawn:/sbin/getty 38400 tty2
3:23:respawn:/sbin/getty 38400 tty3
...
