I don't remember exactly how I installed the nvidia drivers, but if you do need the kernel source, you still have to go to the /usr/src directory and tar -jxvf kernel-source2.?.?.bz2 in order for the nvidia drivers to be able to access the kernel source... If you have a kernel that you DID NOT compile yourself then you need kernel-headers package for your kernel

dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xfree86

This should fix the resolution issue. The resolution you want may also not be your default resolution. Try changing the resolution from the desktop if you are using KDE, right click and go from there. I would try this before reconfiguring. :)

libiw28 install problems

Hi!

I've installed Debian 4 on my computer from the netinstall disk,I set up the acx card,it worked fine, then I tried to make apt-get x11-common and it wrote a mistake, the mistake speaks about the libiw, and about that it's not installed well, but I've installed it before from my pendrive, and the dpkg -i order ran without mistake,so it should work. For the second time I dwownloaded the first disc of full debian,it installed the gnome and the X,but as the Linux loads the graphical interface the whole of my computer gets frozen(I'm using an ATI 9600Pro card).Could anybody help me?If you have a solution for any of these two problems, please write me an e-mail or here. thanks!
