debian k menu is too large

My kmenu is too large, each item takes up too much space. Heres a picture to better describe my plight. I'm using kde 3.3 too if that helps.

I just want to know how I can make each entry take up less space if that makes sense.

Oh yea if someone knows how to get rid of those bold looking 'i's in the picture that'd be nice to fix too.

Try to use another style, like Plastic or Web. Or minimize the menu font. You can do that from KControl.

This could simply be a font thing, Try Control Centre->Appearance & Themes->Fonts and altering the font and/or its size for the Menu entry.
