debian -install .image cdrom

I downloaded disc 1 debian onto my server & burned it onto disc. Put it into client and set it to boot from cd rom. Came up with cd rom boot failure. any ideas ?

Here are a couple of things you might want to check:

Are you sure you downloaded the right image (for architecture i386) ?

Try running the command file on the downloaded image, make sur file says its an iso image.

Try booting the CD on another machine.
