Debian Gnome 'Shared Folders' GUI not working
 

In gnome there is 'Shared Folders' gui under 'Systems' which helps with sharing folders however my one is not working. I wanted to find out why it does not work. I guess my question is, is there any way of running the 'Shared Folders' gui in debug mode?

Look for a gnome debug tool for your distro and then see if the problem has been previously encountered and solved at the gnome site.

I'm not sure, since I don't use gnome. But are you speaking of the file manager nautilus? When I did use gnome, I found that nautilus usually opened as a single paned window, but that it could be open as a browser (and thus it could share windows) with the command "nautilus --no-desktop --browser".
