Debian DVD doesn't boot

Hello, I have downloaded the Large Complete installation Image of Debian 7 (64bit, torrent DL), burned it into a DVD and rebooted my laptop (made sure that I chose to boot from DVD), nothing boots I just go back to my main OS like I haven’t inserted any DVD, I also tried to boot it using a USB, didn’t work, tried on my other laptop, didn’t work, tried the small installation image, didn’t work, tried 32bit version, didn’t work, I tried many other Linux distribution and each one of them worked, Why isn’t Debian booting at all?

Check to see if you included the boot loader when you burned the DVD. Some burners treat a boot loader as an option.

Thanks for your answer. However, all other distributions that I burned using the same tool and the same options booted with me but not Debian, why?

Did you check the MD5 sum on the *.iso?

I would suggest testing it in another computer. If it fails to boot there, the problem is likely the DVD.

What's about the MD5SUM? How do I check it?
There's a file in the DVD after burning called MD5SUM it has many MD5 sums

I created a virtual machine with the raw ISO file and still not booting?

The md5sum is a hash for checking the validity of a download, especially popular for checking that *.iso files arrived uncorrupted. Here's an article from the Debian wiki. https://wiki.debian.org/MD5

If the *.iso will not boot a VM, there's a good chance it is corrupt.

If you have a valid network connection when you do the install, you can use Debian net install feature. http://www.debian.org/distrib/netinst

It's a long shot, but, when you burned the DVD, you did use the "burn image" tool in your burning program and you know that your laptop is capable of booting from a DVD. In the early days of DVDs, there were laptops that could boot from CDs, but could not boot from DVDs.

I found out that I was dumb and downloaded the 8th disc instead of the first... Thanks everyone.
