Debian Display on Virtual PC 2004
Hello,
I recently installed the testing Debian (Sarge) on Microsoft Virtual PC 2004. I am new to linux and am still poking around. I installed a base system and I installed x-window-system and gnome by using the 'apt-get install ...'. When I startx, they display is VERY wide and unviewable. I think it may have something to do with the settings that i used when setting up x. Can anyone help? Thanks A LOT. I would really liek this to work because Debian has been my fave distro that I've tried. Thanks! -Benny |
Which driver are you using for X? IIRC Virtual PC emulates S3 Trio/64 something or rather.

i have set x up to use the S3 driver, but it is still not working...when setting up gnome, it asks for a horizontal refresh rate and a vertical one...im not sure what to put in those either
