Thumbs down Debian 5.0.1 Initrd

Hi

How do we create an initrd image file in debian 5.0.1, I used make-kpkg and dpkg to build and install new kernel 2.6.29.3 but it did not create initrd image automatically.

Thanks

Notice part way down you have to add the --initrd option to make-kpkg.

I think you can also use initramfs-tools or yaird.

Initrd image in Debian 5.0.1

Thanks

I used update-initramfs to create the image and it worked well, but still I had to change the menu.lst in Grub from hda1 to sda1 to boot with the new image.
Regards
