Deb Files


there is something wrong when installing .deb files
im getting
Code:
user@adminPC:~$ sudo dpkg -i /home/user/Desktop/LimeWireLinux.deb

  Package sun-java6-jdk is not installed.
 limewire-basic depends on libgnome2-0 (>= 2.14.1); however:
  Package libgnome2-0 is not installed.
 limewire-basic depends on libstdc++5 (>= 1:3.3.4-1); however:
  Package libstdc++5 is not installed.
dpkg: error processing limewire-basic (--install):
 dependency problems - leaving unconfigured
Errors were encountered while processing:
 limewire-basic

what's wrong?

The error messages are telling you what's wrong;

you need to install one of the above java packages, libgnome2 and libstdc++5.

Unlike apt/synaptic, dpkg doesn't handle dependencies automatically. If your .deb package needs some library or something, then you need to install it separately.
