De-register a Linux machine from an AD Domain


Hie guys how do i de-register my RHEL server from windows domain (ADS)server 2008

net ads leave -U (AD ID) ----------> if its added to the domain
rm -rf /var/lib/samba/*.* ------> to clear the database

If you are talking about RHEL and unregistered, have you tried to contact to support?
Have you tried to dig RHEL site about unregistering?

may be you are not searching this document but It is all there, you have to search the correct place.

thank you for your response but the file path /var/lib/samba/ does not exist in my server

when i issue this command net ads leave -U mydomainname, iam getting this error kerberos_kinit_password mydomainname failedreauthentication failed

net ads leave -U (your AD admin ID) ...

-U refers to user.
