Thumbs up DBUS >=1.0.0. installed libdubs-dev is not installed

Hi

I am trying to compile VLC code base on my Fedora5 system. I am getting the error when i am trying to run ./configure command.
DBUS >=1.0.0. installed libdubs-dev is not installed

Can someone suggest what should I do. I have already installed DBUS (1.4.1).

Fedora 5 was obsoleted years ago, and moved to the old archive.
http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pu.../fedora/linux/

'dbus-devel' is available from the "archive". So are a few others.

But : A complete vlc requires about fifty <libraries>-devel to build.
Most of these are not available from Fedora.

VLC is much easier to install on a new Fedora : # yum install vlc
