cygwin ssh and zonealarm
Hi,
I'm trying to ssh to a linux server using cygwin. The connection itself works fine, but I can't get X-forwarding to work. The message I'm getting is: connect localhost port 6000: Connection refused X connection to bsmgate1:11.0 broken (explicit kill or server shutdown). ForwardX11 is set to yes in /etc/ssh/ssh_config on the remote machine and in /etc/sshconfig on my machine. Do I need to make any other changes to the config files? I have a btbroadband connection and am running zonealarm. Does the message mean that my firewall is blocking the connection? If so, can anyone suggest a free windows firewall that's compatible with cygwin (I can't seem to open individual ports with the free version of zonealarm). If not, can anyone tell me what the problem is? Many thanks, Cxx |
Aplogies. Is now working fine. Hadn't startx'd. Am arse. Should've read the cygwin user guide properly. Sigh...
