cvsweb to allow only particular users to particular project

Hi All,
I need a help for the below.
We have a cvs server on Cent O/S 5.8 and all cvs repository is stored in "/some_dir/cvsroot" directory and also cvsweb is configured and working fine. This can be accessible using http://server_IP/cgi-bin/cvsweb.
By default cvsweb is listing all cvs projects and I want to restrict some directory(projects) which are under /some_dir/cvsroot. For example I want to allow only few users to http://server_IP/cgi-bin/cvsweb/some_project and want to deny all unauthorised users to this url. So is it possible to restrict either using password protected method(htpasswd) to particular projects or using any other way.
Thanks in advance for your kind help.
