I've been experimenting with the Ubuntu 8.1 "Create a USB Startup Disk" option. I've successfully created, booted, and modified the install with persistent save. I've found a solution to a few issues already (like errors on updating the kernel), but I 've had no luck figuring out how to eliminate the initial menus for selecting language (I'll always want English) and the rest of the boot menu that assumes you're booting from a CD.

I only want to use this particular drive as a portable one, and if I need to install, I;ll make a second one.

Does anyone have suggestions as the where I could look to find out more about how to modify the boot menus?
