Cool cups printing - where do I create a print filter?

Where should I create a print filter and apply it to a specific printer?

Information please?

Distro? Environment? The kind of filter you want to create?

You haven't actually given us much to work with here.

How to ask a question

Cool The filter should stop page advance

I'm using Red Hat Linux enteprise 4.5 with cups printing. I have a Okidata ML-390 turbo connected to a HP Jet Direct print server box port 9100 and the corresponding Oki ML-390 turbo driver. The printer is dedicated to printing checks.

Cups offers many options. How can I feed the printer the instruction to not advance the page.
