Question CrunchBang 10 "Statler" r20110207 Install Hangs "Detecting Network Devices"

I was wondering if anyone had any issues with this. I recently tried installing CrunchBang and it got stuck while detecting the network device. (Would not recover)I had the same issue when attempting to install the Debian Testing release. I finally got Testing up and going but I had to start with Squeeze and then upgrade. Unfortunately I don't see how I could do that with Crunch Bang.

I tried the live cd of CrunchBang and found it to be a great minimalistic approach to a desktop.

Any input

Have you tried asking around at the crunchbang forums? http://www.crunchbanglinux.org/forums/ The developer is active over there and they may have some insights. I'm running statler, but my install was beautiful so I'm not sure where you are running into issues. Do you know what your network hardware is? Having that knowledge handy might help. Good luck getting it fixed, #! is a nice little distro.

Question

Thanks for the feedback. I thought the problem might have originated with the Debian Testing installer since I had the same problem there & since Crunchbang is based on Debian..........

I'll keep digging but if anybody has any other suggestions I am wide open.
