crossover for linux


I have just installed crossover on linux.I have found it under file manager but when i click open it just comes up a load of writing does anyone know how i install it. It is called crossover standard demo 7.0.2 sh

You said you installed it, then you ask how you install it. Did you download it and then try to install it, then you saw the load of writing?

If thats the case, perhaps you should follow the instructions on the Codeweavers FAQ page..

If I recall correctly, Crossover comes as a .tar.gz file.
but--if you have a file that ends in .sh, you just need to run it.

Open a terminal
su to become root
Move the file to /opt (mv filename /opt)
turn on exec permissions (chmod +x filename)
run the file (./filename)
