cronjob is running several times


Hi,

Cronjob is scheduled to run at 2:00 everyday but i found it ran multiple time as per logs. Below is cronjob set and logs for the same. It happened once Can anybody let me know why it happened

Mar 30 02:00:01 hostname CROND[27502]: (test) CMD (/script.sh)
Mar 31 02:00:01 hostname CROND[10209]: (test) CMD (/script.sh)
Mar 31 02:00:01 hostname CROND[10225]: (test) CMD (/script.sh)
Mar 31 02:00:01 hostname CROND[10231]: (test) CMD (/script.sh)
Mar 31 02:00:01 hostname CROND[10253]: (test) CMD (/script.sh)
Mar 31 02:00:01 hostname CROND[10276]: (test) CMD (/script.sh)
Mar 31 02:00:07 hostname CROND[16210]: (test) CMD (/script.sh)
Mar 31 02:00:07 hostname CROND[16266]: (test) CMD (/script.sh)

Cronjob
00 02 * * * /script.sh

i think it is related to timezone when the UK server was being moved to BST.

As far as I am concerned, cron follows time of what's reseulted from "date" command.

So, I think you should once restart the cron service, and then check again:

~$ sudo /etc/init.d/crond restart
