Creating partions and installing Red Hat 8
I'm trying to install RH 8 on my Win XP machine. I shrunk my C: partition and moved it so that I can create the /boot partition as a primary partition. So, basically, my hard drive will look like this: /boot | C: | / | swap. First of all, will this work? Is it alright to have the Linux partitions separated by the C: partition? Second, I've read that it is better to create the Linux partitions with Partition Magic rather than the Disk Druid. If I create with Partition Magic, from what I've read about the install there are three options: Remove all Linux partitions, Remove all partitions on the system, and Keep all partitions and use existing free space. So, will I even be able to install to the partitions I create with Partition Magic? Any advice will be greatly appreciated. I've never installed Linux and I'm installing on my main machine so I really don't want to mess something up. Thanks.
