Creating fileserver so windows can use
 
I have the computer found in the directory and the permission set to server level...but it's like it's not getting permission of our Win2k server. I can connect to any computer on the windows network but can't get from a windows box to the linux box. I have redhat 9 and samba.

Is it asking for a username or password or how did you setup samba so Windows can access the share?

Which setup...the smb.conf or the acual samba server setup

I thought the samba setup would include the smb.conf file? Any details you can provide would be helpful.
