Creating a Linux pendrive using a MAC for a movie in DCP

Greetings from Brasília

I need to copy one of my documentaries' DCP package onto a Linux pendrive but MAC Disk Utility will only show the following:
MAC OS Extended (Journaled);
MacOS Extended (Case sensitive),
EXFAT and
MSDOS-FAT
,none of which mentions Linux.

I'm looking for instructions on how to perform this formatting, which software to use, etc.

Thank you

Mário Salimon

Your MAC disk utility looks like it can only create those filesystems. By using a 'live' Linux distro, you can create a filesystem suitable for your pendrive.
Linux should be able to use the MSDOS-FAT partition/filesystem on the pendrive, depending on how big your DCP file is.
Otherwise, copy it via an NTFS partition/filesystem, which Linux can handle, & a MAC should be able to mount & write to as well.

I think Macs can read vfat file systems. Try using the mkfs.vfat command to format your usb stick.

Thank you

Thank you very much. My DCP package is 40GB strong. But the second solution looks promising. I'll get to it right away.
Best regards!

Solution

I installed Paragon ExtFS and was able to formar the pendrive in Linux, therefore solving the problem.
