Creating a custom launcher for .html file

I have been looking for something that I thought was going to be pretty simple. It may be that I don't realy know how to ask the question properly.

I have a game that uses an .html file to kick off execution. I open it under Nautilus the game runs just fine.

I want to have the game show up as an application on the dash dialog in unity.

I was expecting to create a .desktop file that refered to the .html

I tried "exec=/mypath/myfile.html". I tried invoking Firefox and Cromium-browser with the file as a parameter. The closest I got was executing nautilus, it opened the folder but not the file.

I am sure that I am using the wrong terminology to search for this information. I am getting very few hits on the subject.

Here is my most recent attempt, went back to my original idea and tried plaing with the mimetype.

[Desktop Entry]
Categories=Game
Exec=/opt/samorost2/samorost2.html
Path=/opt/samorost2/
Icon=/opt/CrayonPhysicsDeluxe/icon.png
Terminal=false
Type=Application
MimeType=text/html;
Name=Samorost 2
Comment=Samorost Adventure

This should work if you use

Exec=firefox /opt/samorost2/samorost2.html

If firefox opens empty or it's default page try putting quotes around it like :-

Exec='firefox /opt/samorost2/samorost2.html'
