I have just set up a couple of internet surveillance cameras (DCS-G900) inside a WAN that both run web servers on port 80. In order to see the live video feed, one needs to browse to the IP addess inside the WAN and click the java link (// 192.168.x.x/JView .htm ) to launch the video.
I have SSL Explorer set up on the external IP for secure connections into the network from the internet. SSL Explorer has a feature for creating web forwards, and I have created a replacement proxy web forward that points to camera's internal IP, however using the java video feature does not work in this configuration, it just displays the java icon as if it is loading.
I have a limited understanding of how java renders the remote data on the local machine's browser, and I think that the web forward on the SSL Explorer box is interrupting this process.
Is anybody familiar with either SSL Explorer web forwarding or using a java based service via a proxy?
There is a long list of encoding options for the replacement proxy but I don't know what any of them do, so I have not selected any encoding. SSL Explorer also offers the option of creating a custom replacement proxy setting, which I am also unfamiliar with.
If anybody can offer some more information to help me make this work, that would be much appreciated.
