Introduction to Linux - A Hands on Guide
This guide was created as an overview of the Linux Operating System, geared toward new users as an exploration tour and getting started guide, with exercises at the end of each chapter.
For more advanced trainees it can be a desktop reference, and a collection of the base knowledge needed to proceed with system and network administration. This book contains many real life examples derived from the author's experience as a Linux system and network administrator, trainer and consultant. They hope these examples will help you to get a better understanding of the Linux system and that you feel encouraged to try out things on your own.

Hi ! I have f9. My variant was 2.6.25-14 fc9 i686 (displayed by the grub at boot). I enter yesterday in the ad-remove programs and f9 propose me to update the system (automatic, when i start the add-remove programs "application"). I agree, it run automatically.
At a new boot, I have now one more option, 18.104.22.168-76 fc9 i686. If I choose it, it starts well, ask username and password, but after thatm when really entering in the system (after the password) the screen became black. Is seem that the objects are there, when i move the mouse it "feels" something - I was even able to restart the computer (blindly - I just guess in a new white empty window that there was the buttons for restart, close computer, cancel, etc). So it seems to be only a pronblem of display.
The bad thing is that also in the old varinat (2.6.25-14 fc9 i686) now I have the same problem. Practically, I cannot use anymore fedora !
Anybody has any Idea ? I have 3 computers, on all there is installed f9, but now I am afraid to update the other 2...
Thank you !
