CPU usage question

Ok, there is something odd going on inside my computer. When i first boot up and look at CPU usage, it is around 10-20%, all is well. But when my eth0 goes down and i lose my wireless connect, strange things start happening. The process ksoftirqd_CPU0 starts using 95% of the processor!! Total processor usage goes up to 100% and i have seen it register 101% !!! WTF!!!!
I know it is related to the way that i setup my Linksys WMP11 card. I havent able to get the linuxwlan drivers working correctly, so i used this method:

/sbin/modprobe hermes
/sbin/modprobe orinoco
/sbin/modprobe orinoco_pci
ifconfig eth0 up
dhclient eth0

as i said, this works for a while, but eventually it always goes down. then the processor craziness begins....anyone???????????

Check your log files, you can find a lot of info there and maybe what's going on with the CPU load
