CPU Overheat Warning when opening terminal (CPU is not overheating)
 

Why am I getting spammed with this when I open a terminal? my CPU is not overheating nor in danger of doing so, the threshold must be awfully low. How do I change this?

Check you BIOS settings, you can set them if you reboot by pushing delete or F2 on your keyboard....

I know that, but it's Linux that's being a problem not my bios/hardware, there is nothing at all wrong with my CPU's temperature.

The only way it would overheart is if it fries itself from repeteadly spamming me with this stuff... filling my terminals and spamming stuff all over my screen, and this KWrited program that wont go away while im compiling things.

I can't work because its spamming my terminal... someone help?

I had this problem once. Wretched thing spamming my terminal. GRRRRRRR!

The problem was that the temperature-monitoring program was not calibrated for my sensors. So it thought it was too hot when it wasn't. I had to find the program that was doing this, and disable it (Sorry, I forget its name now, but try looking in "System Services", or whatever FC calls it, find the program that is monitoring the temps, turn it off, and set it "Do not start at Boot").

Peace at last, and my PC running happily (& cool!)
