Cpu frequency question
Hi ,
I was trying to change the CPU frequency in my linux desktop pc. I am currently using kernel-2.6.22. I found that after cpu_frequency selector can be used to do this. However after using this software, it gave me an error as "No cpu frequency support".

I thought that I have not enabled cpu frequency in kernel and hence I recompiled the kernel with cpu frequency scaling factor option. But still I am getting the same error.
I am using intel pentium 4 processor.

I would like to get some suggestions on this and would highly appreciate.

need the modules

modprobe p4_clockmod
will solve the problem

add p4_clockmod to /etc/modules and you should have no problem when you reboot!
