couple questions

also, can I read and write to Linux partitions from Windows?

and how to make my windows partitions writable from Linux? I can read things from them just fine. but writing = no.

You can read from windows to linux and back. If you use NTFS, then writing is out of the question, as for now. No working linux writing drivers have been made yet. With FAT partitions, there are no problems with writing. You can't write to Linux partitions, but there are some tools on the net that allow you to read from them from windows. Search for ext2 tools for windows.
