??? That's not a distribution. ??? I'm guessing based on the 'FC' in that output that you're using Fedora Core, right? In that case, there is no dpkg-reconfigure (that's specific to Debian and derivatives) so use that Gentoo guide that was posted.

P.S. You should also put your distribution in your profile so that people won't have to ask you.

yeh teh FC4 on that line you posted is Fedora Core 4,

this is quite out of date,

FC6 worked fine for me... (http://fedoraproject.org)
