Question could not resolve host: mirrors.kernel.org

Just did a fresh install of Arch, but I am suddenly unable to download packages. I heard that I needed to disable ipv6; how do I do that?

Hello and welcome to LQ.

http://raspberrypi.stackexchange.com...ate-arch-linux has a way to disable ipv6.

In a normal condition it would be dns. Use dig or nslookup for something like mirrors.kernel.org or www.google.com and see what it replies.

By the way. Are you using any kind of proxy?

nvm, fixed it

Don't know what the problem was, but when I reinstalled Arch it seemed to work. I did end up using a wired connection instead; maybe that's it? Anyway, thanks a ton for helping out
