could not parse yaboot.conf when server starting

Hi,all
For some reason. the yaboot.conf file have a syntax error. so when i restarted server the console output

Config file read, 32768 bytes
Config file error: Token is too long near line 0 in file /etc/yaboot.conf
Syntax error or read error config
Welcome to yaboot version 1.3.12
Enter "help" to get some basic usage information
boot:

when i type "Tab", i could not see any image lable. then I tried to boot by "deviceartno,/vmlinuz". the kernel can be loaded successfully. but it stops "kernel panic : not syncing; VFS". i guess it could
not be shiped initrd.img.

What's method can i start kernel normally?

Note:
1. the kernel image and initrd are good and placed /boot
2. i only installed unqiue kernel on my os.

thanks in advanced!

Sounds like yaboot.conf is corrupted.

I suggest writing a new one from scratch and read "man yaboot.conf" to make sure the syntax and device paths are correct. Then run 'ybin' to reinstall it.

Also, it may help to tell which distro you are using, YDL? Gentoo PPC? Debian PPC?
