Arrow could not open default font

Hey,

I know this issue has been discussed here more than once but I went through all the solutions and none has worked for me.

I'm using RHEL6.1 X64 with RealVNC 4.1.

while running 'vncserver' command - I receive the following error in the vnc .log file.

Fatal server error:
could not open default font 'fixed'

Could someone please help me out here?

Thanks.

It would be better if you tell us what all methods you have tried as it will help us give another thought to your problem

For anyone whois interested - I managed to solve it by creating the font directories and creating a soft link under /etc/X11/fontpath.d/

Code:
lrwxrwxrwx. 1 root root 36 Dec 28 14:06 default-ghostscript -> /usr/share/fonts/default/ghostscript
lrwxrwxrwx. 1 root root 30 Dec 28 14:06 fonts-default -> /usr/share/fonts/default/Type1
lrwxrwxrwx. 1 root root 27 Dec 28 14:08 liberation-fonts -> /usr/share/fonts/liberation
lrwxrwxrwx  1 root root 27 Feb 16 16:14 xorg-x11-fonts-100dpi:unscaled:pri=30 -> /usr/share/X11/fonts/100dpi
lrwxrwxrwx  1 root root 26 Feb 16 16:14 xorg-x11-fonts-75dpi:unscaled:pri=20 -> /usr/share/X11/fonts/75dpi
lrwxrwxrwx  1 root root 29 Feb 16 16:14 xorg-x11-fonts-cyrillic -> /usr/share/X11/fonts/cyrillic
lrwxrwxrwx  1 root root 25 Feb 16 16:14 xorg-x11-fonts-misc:unscaled:pri=10 -> /usr/share/X11/fonts/misc
The last 4 fonts were missing.

Thanks ya'all.
