Cool, because i want the least space taken up by the os (more for my games). I don't quite get this. Is DSL a stripped down version of Debian (no major kernel stuff etc...), or is it stripped down then modified? I am going to burn me up a bootable DSL disk right now. A question, after i burn the disk, how do I install, is there an option when it is starting the bootable disk or something? What upgrade system does DSL use (not RPM I hope)

im just so sick of trying to get Fedora to work. I was thinking about switching to Slackware, but I don't feel like using alot of hard drive space for my OS. + I think DSL will improve game performance (less apps taking up space). But I am a so is there any reason why what I am going to do isn't going to work?
having troubles with red hat 9 was the reason i moved to slackware. Taking up less hard drive space shouldn't affect games and their performance. I haven't tried DSL, but slackware is plenty quick a good distro to play around with. It'll also probably be easier to install, IMHO.

i dont feel like burning two 700 MB disks, I am lazy. 1 50 MB disk is my limit.
