Couchdb query via command line

Hi there,

could someone tell me why this:
Code:
curl http://127.0.0.1:5984/basic/_design/example/_view/by_date?key="2009/01/30 18:04:11"
returns nothing at all?

This works for all the entries in the database:
Code:
curl http://127.0.0.1:5984/basic/_design/example/_view/foo
returns the right result.

Please help this is so basic, it's making it really hard to move forward.

Kind regards

Can anyone verify if this line of code looks syntactically correct?

Maybe urlencode your date value?
Code:
curl http://127.0.0.1:5984/basic/_design/example/_view/by_date?key=%222009%2F01%2F30+18%3A04%3A11%22
