Corrupt KDE Menu - how to rebuild

I was tweaking the Multimedia sub-folder for the KDE 3.2 menu in the menu editor. I did something to erase the whole multimedia folder. The programs can still be called up via
alt-F2, so they're still there.

Using kappfinder doesn't identify these programs to add back. If I right click on a file in Konqueror and select "open with" the full Multimedia sub-folder is still there!

So, it's like it's just hidden from the main KDE menu.

Any suggestions on how to get it back or how to rebuild the main KDE Menu?

Thanks,
Rory

Yikes. Sounds scary. How do I do this? Once removed, do I need to reboot? And then the default KDE menu will come back?

I removed the .kde directory and rebooted. Multimedia sub-folder is still not there. <scratch head>

But, my desktop/kicker/many Control Centre functions were reset to default. Wish I would have known that was going to happen. I would have prepared. I assumed it would just rebuild the kde menu.
