core 2 need to know somthing
 

me and some one......... got into a fight over core2 they say it will NOT work on this pc :mad:

and they said that there is no software that will work with linux like games and what not

Hi OMEGA-DOOM!

I went through most of your posts and I've seem that you've not tried Linux yet. Whoever told you that in your previous post sounds like he never tried Linux, ever. Actually, it sounds more like he/she not even heard much of Linux. I've two advices for you:

1 - Try using a Live distribution. I'd say, go with Knoppix or Slax. If everything works fine with your hardware, you can even choose to install on your HD if you like or just play around with the CD to learn Linux.

2 - Don't trust on what peoples are saying on the net, be either in a forum talking about mouse issues or a friend who know less about Linux than you do. Try it out yourself first, nobody is better to judge if Linux fits you and your hardware then you ;). Plus, you win credibility trying to fix problems when you are actually running Linux, then "preventing" problems that could or not happen...

You've to prove me that you are OMEGA-DOOM though, somehow :). I'd also like to say that this kind of transitions is ratter dangerous. Never give your address or phone number out to anyone on the net. However, if you still trust me, send me an e-mail ;)
