copying Linux original distro?

My suse 9.3 pro is a dual layer dvd, my win xp has a dual layer dvd reader writer, when I tried to copy it over, it said I had 16mb too much and I need to reduce it, I tried removing copyrights anykind of readme, but couldnt get it low enough.

So I did a straight copy to copy, I inserted my original suse 9.3 pro into the laptop and it copied it to the hard drive, then put in a dual layer DVD and copied everything to it, I put it in my linux box and it just sat there doing nothing.

Is there a program out there that would work on windows xp pro (can't do it on the linux box since I DONT have a dual layer dvd writer on it, just 2 dvd r rw

The reason Im doing this is my original got scratched and when I try to install it, it gets to something about finding info or reading info, and thats as far as it gets so I can't install from that DVD.

Thanks

If I am not wrong...you've got an install dvd. You have to burn the dvd as an iso image. Simply copying to on a dvd will make it a data dvd. Use Nero (in Windows) to burn the image as an ISO image.

Tux,

edit:Copying a disc should be easy with Nero.
