Angry copying files

I am trying to copy files from a CD to /var/www/html on a RedHat9 Box. I typed /mount cdrom and went to the /mnt/cdrom folder and I see all the files on the cd. I type the command cp /mnt/cdrom /var/www/html and it says "ommiting directory /mnt/cdrom" I tryed it from diffrent directorys with same message. Why it do that?

if you wnat ot copy directories "recursively" then you need a -r switch:
cp -r /path/to/source /path/to/destination
