I copy & paste all the time using Thunar. Does your distro auto-mount an inserted USB stick?

Yes, my distro does auto-mount my USB stick. I'm new to Linux but I do see I have Thunar.

Not familiar with it's process, however.

Much the same as Windows, right click and copy, go to USB drive and right click paste. Thunar is the default file manager for XFCE so I assumed you had it...

I guess I'll have some more questions as I go along but will try to keep it simple. All the best
