Cooked IOCTL() interface: WTF???
Whenever I start running KDE, after a while it freezes for a couple of seconds within intervals. So I check the terminal in which KDe is running and it says something like this:
Checking /dev/sbpcd for cdrom... Testing /dev/sbpcd for cooked ioctl() interface And the same thing for several devices, like /dev/cdu31a, /dev/sgd and many more. What the hell is this? How can I stop this from happening? I'm running Slack 10, kernel 2.4.26, with KDE 3.2.3 Any ideas? |
