Unhappy Convert MTS files to my ASUS EEPC with adapted Linux

Panasonic HD video MTS files are not read on my ASUS EEEPC 901 Linux operated, but adapted, 2009 notebook. Is there an easy wya to download an appropriate driver? I do not have experience in entering program lines (in the black screen.)
