I expect it's just a case of running it.
Go to the directory where you downloaded the .bin file to and do:

Code:
chmod +x jre..(etc)...rpm.bin
I'm guessing that will create an RPM file in that directory for you. Though I could be wrong. If it does, then the quick way to install that is just to do:
Code:
rpm -i jre...etc...rpm
obviously replacing my filename with the actual name of the file (usually you can just start typing it and press TAB to autocomplete it)

[/code]

If you have the full version of SuSe 9.3 java 1.5 can be installed from the dvd/cd's you have, otherwise I'd imagine follow the instructions on Sun's site.

Never installed java that way but I'd imagine as root:

chmod +x java-blah...blah

./java-blah-blah.bin

rpm -U java-blah-blah.rpm

go here
http://rpm.pbone.net/
and search for the java rpm for Suse

I think this might be what you are after
http://rpm.pbone.net/index.php3/stat....i586.rpm.html
but I suggest you do your own search
to make sure
it will be a fairly big file

I'm not sure how you install rpms with Suse
but you probably use yast
with mandrake I download the file to a folder
and add that folder to my Mandrake media manager
Suse might do something similar

hope this helps
