Control tty7 or get to outstanding prompt for X config?


I am logged onto a server remotely and changing some X settings. I see that there is a prompt on tty7:

root 3220 3199 0 13:18 ? 00:00:00 /usr/libexec/gdmopen -l /bin/sh -c /etc/gdm/XKeepsCrashing -noopen

Is there a way to get control of that prompt?

It is a FC6 box.

I am not sure what you exactly mean. The lines you posted are taken from tty7? In that case it is set to log computer activity.

What appears on each console is controlled via /etc/inittab.
